The 50b priced at around USD$220 will be using MediaTeks MT6582 chipset, which is a quad-core processor running at 1.3Ghz per core. Strangely, and maybe by necessity being a budget phone, both variants will have only 1GB of RAM. The performance boost of added RAM say maybe 2GB of it in an octa-core phone is substantial, and we were wondering if Archos could have squeezed the cost enough to at least put 2GB of RAM in the octa-core 50c Oxygen. Also, both variants will have the same 2,000maAh batteries.

On Android, the OWA app can sync with the phone's built-in contacts list, and this syncing is bidirectional. If you update the contact using the phone's contact editor, those updates will be reflected in OWA. The pre-release app is, however, highly constrained. Just as with the iOS apps, it requires a business Office 365 subscription; neither Office 365 Personal nor Office 365 Home are supported, nor is Outlook.com mail. The app also requiresAndroid 4.4 KitKat. Most limiting, however, arethe hardware restrictions. OWA for Android only runs on phones.

But its also a phone where the flexibility that has become a mark of CyanogenMod is also on display. Almost everything in the UI is user-configurable,itcarries theme support to change every element of the UI in one click, and when you start to explore the settingsdialogs, youll realise almost every item can be tweaked. On one hand this can feel rather overpowering, but on the other it means the OnePlus One can feel much more like your device than the singlevision offered by a manufacturer. A case in point isthecore Android UI keys of menu/ home / back. These are threecapacativebuttons just under thebottom of the screen. When the OnePlus One is active, these are dimly lit and Im happy to use them.

Done The Android smartphone for people who are sick of Android smartphones By Ben Zigterman June 11, 2014 6:40 PM 0 shares View photo The Android smartphone for people who are sick of Android smartphones When Lari Numminen and Jukka Kekalainen set out to improve the user experience on Android , they did not expect to create an entire new phone. Instead, they initially built an Android app that would offera simple interface for launching your most-used apps. The app eventually was installed 10,000 times, but the developers realized that people still had to use Androids complex pre-installed apps in addition to their own. To solve this, they decided to create their own phone, which is called the Zilta and will be available in December for 139 (about $189) in Europe. The phone will run a forked version of Android 4.4 and features an extremely simple user interface. There are six big icons on the screen for the basic tasks nearly everyone uses on a smartphone: email, a web browser, contacts, photos, messages, and a sixth that brings users to more apps and settings.
